Liberty of the Seas~ Get out there!

This year seems so not "reality" since I've already been to Europe and we're leaving on the 17th Jan for a Family Celebration Cruise for mom's BIB 6-O (Well I shouldn't feel too guilty. We've had this planned for over a year.) Sisters, Brothers in law, Cousins, Uncle and Aunt are all going to "Get out there!" Stay tuned for pictures onboard RCC Liberty of the Seas (3 football fields in length) These Ships are so large, (see the picture doesn't even capture it's grandeur) it's hard to fathom until you are in the middle of the deep dark sea at night and you don't have a clue -you think you're in a 5 star hotel enjoying 5 star dining, entertainment ,water parks, and clubs. Then you walk out on the promenade and realize "Oh yeah we're floating in water miles and miles away from LAND" . Dave or I didn't give each other gifts this year, nothing wraped anyways....Except for extravagent cruises to the Caribbean. How do you wrap that?

Stormy Weather

We survived Christmas morning getting awoken by the kids at 5:30 a.m. but we barely survived driving the 90 miles to Brigham City in Utah to my sisters on Christmas day.

Where did that red hair come from?

My sister did a really great job on her blog explaining where the red hair came from. Since Chloe and Drew both have parents with dark hair. I get that same question about the boys' blonde hair. She also has some cute pics of Clo from Thanksgiving on her post.
This is the link to her blog: www.donwadeanddrew.blogspot.com

Santa Stop Here

Santa I am trying to be good

She does HAIR blog idea

My "blessed" Chloe will forever be recieving comments on her THICK beautiful hair, but "few" know how difficult it is to DO this THICK beautiful hair. I got an idea from a friends blog about a blog site www.shedoeshair.blogspot.com dedicated to cute "girly hair ideas". That is the problem for me; IT is the "idea". If i can see it, then I can copy it. Some days I just get so sick of doing "a Ponytail". It takes two strong hands and a hefty elastic band and a lot of brushing and smoothing to fit these locks into a ponytail. By the way, it is not everyday that Chloe lets me spend this much time on doing something different. She is content with her same ol' ponytail and that is JUST FINE with me.
This is a revised version of "french twists and braids" listed on the blog
I mentioned. As you will see, it is different than the one posted
because of the thickness. Which one do you like?

If you look at her site, don't get me wrong - it is amazing how talented and creative
this mother of girls is. And think it is so important for
expression and creativity to do things you are
gifted with, however, I won't blame you if you
find yourself rolling your eyes, I did it too.

Clo- I love you ! You're beautiful if your
hair is in a messy nest of knots or just
your regular ponytail. But Thanks for letting me indulge
every now and then cause having a real little girl is so much fun!

Zollikofen Swiss LDS Temple- Bern, Switzerland

My cher friends Heidi Kristen and Georges all attended at 9 a.m. session
Voila! Nous sommes la!

The temple behind me From our 10E per person dorm
room . Pas mal!

Tight quartiers , it was like a slumber party!

It was Very clean and we had a hot shower. (No towels though) :)
No complaints here. Especially for the price

TRANSPORTATION

The Train Station that took us from the Temple to the City Center (Bern) 6 miles=6 minutes Zollikofen Station

I took this for Dave en pensee
Of his trainer Elder Nathan Launer (Swiss)
I definately want to come back her with Dave
I missed him the most being in Schwiez

This does absolutley no justice of how gorgeous
the drive was- (going 130 km an hour)

I was sitting proud driving the car from Lyon to Geneva, then
to Biel. I'm DRIVING in SWITZERLAND. Crossing the French border, we were a little worried because Heidi left her passport on accident at Henry's. I left my camera in France too, by accident and was equally nervous to not have my Eyes! We got through no probs. We passed Avignon, Laussane, and Lake Geneva.
(If only we could have stopped) It was a 7 hour drive which was
cool with us, but it was outrageously long for Lui. Oh well, when Dave
is with me next time we can hit the cheese tours, mountain hikes, and Chateau's

THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY WAS SO CLEAN. SWITZERLAND DEFINATELY LIVED UP TO IT'S REPUTATION

The people were so polite. They were helpful and tried to speak English at all costs. They stopped and waited for you to cross the street. I felt very safe by myself late at night.

The first night we spent here, it started snowing great big white snowflakes
It was like a movie. Snow in Switzerland!
The next day we bought hats, gloves and warm socks

Nicole had Raclette, Kristen & Heidi had the Autumn plate, I had
breaded pork chop and string beans w/ fried potatoes

I ENJOYED SHOPPING HERE DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON- NOSTALGIC

Caramelina Chocolatier Swiss Chocolate -
Too pretty to eat- Too delicious to duplicate

LOEB- GLOBUS- COOP-H&L-
Covered walkways, fun window shopping,
antiques, books, candy, clothes, shoes,
nativity sets...

HARMONIE- FAMOUS SWISS FONDUE RESTAURANT

HEIDI .... DOING WHAT SHE DOES BEST.......SAMPLING SOME Real SWISS CHEESE- THERE WERE SEVERAL DIFFERENT TYPES
HERE WE ARE - OUR PROOF WE WERE HERE
"Harmonie"
This was the heaviest meal i have ever
eaten of just cheese! 45$US dollars later
we knew we experienced a real swiss experience

Bon Appetite les Filles!

AT LAST THE CAPITAL CITY OF SWITZERLAND

BERN , SCHWIEZ
ENTERING THE CITY FROM THE TRAIN STATION BELOW
SO IMPRESSIVE!
